The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, July 3 reveals Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will succumb to his illness.
Also coming up, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be devastated. Plus, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will prepare to head to France. And Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will struggle.
Y&R spoilers tease Adam will have a drink with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) before he leaves for Nice. He’s not looking forward to facing Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) wrath. But the threat to the family is real.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Mariah Recalls Holding A Pillow As She Cried
Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will look through Society’s window and see Adam and Chelsea sitting inside. He’ll hide around the corner, watch Adam kiss Chelsea goodbye, then he’ll approach her. “Are you Chelsea Lawson?” he’ll ask.
She’ll say she is and Holden will introduce himself and say he’s always admired her work. He’ll ask to buy her a drink, but Chelsea will be onto him. She’ll say she just saw him at Crimson Lights with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
“It looked like Cane was giving you marching orders, like he was your boss,” Chelsea will add. “What exactly do you do for him?” Holden will tell her she’s good but Cane isn’t his boss. “Maybe I’m just a sucker for an interesting and beautiful woman.”
At the coffee shop, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will run into Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). She’ll tell him Mariah moved out of their house. “I’m surprised Mariah would do something like that,” he’ll reply. Tessa will say Mariah thinks she’s protecting her and their daughter.
Daniel will ask if Mariah told her anything about the night in question. Tessa will say all she knows is that Mariah got drunk. She’ll add that she even told her she doesn’t care what she did. “There’s nothing that could change the way I feel about Mariah.” But Daniel will ask if she’s sure that’s true. Tessa will say she can’t imagine a scenario in which she would walk away from her wife.
Meanwhile, Mariah will hang out at the look out, alone. “What have I done?” she’ll say to herself. She’ll have another flashback of hanging out and drinking with the old guy (Michael Swan) at the bar. Then viewers will see her recall sitting in a room, holding a pillow, crying.
At the hospital, Cole will tell Claire and Victoria it’s time to say goodbye. “I’m not letting you go,” Claire will reply. “Not so soon after I found you.” Cole will tell her his body is failing him. “I’ve made peace with this, it’s a losing battle.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victoria Starts Weeping For Her Lost Love
Claire will tell him he can’t give up. “It’s really not fair, what about all the things we missed out on?” But Cole will say she has her mom. “My proudest moment is being your dad.” Claire will beg him not to break her heart. “Even if you let go, I’m not going to,” she’ll add. “You have to fight and you have to get better.”
Cole will say he’s grateful they got a second chance to know each other. “I want more days, I can’t let you go, please,” Claire will reply, tears streaming down her face. Then she’ll run out of the room. “We got our second chance,” Cole will tell Victoria. “Our happily ever after.”
Victoria will say it doesn’t feel like happily ever after to her. “I won’t ask you to stay here with me because I know you can’t stay,” Victoria will tell him. But she’ll ask if she can kiss him one last time. “I want that more than anything,” he’ll reply. Then Victoria will kiss Cole goodbye and he’ll pass away.
Finally, Claire and Victoria will return to the tack house. Claire will ask Victoria if she believes in heaven and that Cole is there. “I do,” she’ll reply. “I’ll carry him in my heart for the rest of my life,” Claire will say.
She’ll add she wishes Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) were here, so she could lean on him. “I’m missing my mom and dad and Nick,” Victoria will reply. Claire will decide to get some sleep, but first she’ll slip Cole’s jacket on her mom’s shoulders.
Then Victoria will pick up a book Cole was reading and hold it to her heart, as she weeps for her lost love. She’ll head upstairs and a little later, she’ll head upstairs. Claire will walk downstairs and call Kyle. She’ll tell him her dad’s gone and wishes she could hear his voice.
